Affordability

It’s Time to Lower Costs and

Build Opportunity

I have talked with families throughout the district, and I hear time and time again about the high cost of groceries as a real concern. I will work constantly to support families, so they can afford to live here. I will focus on strategic and innovative ways to ensure that living in our community is affordable for families.

We already know that trickle-down economics don’t work for the middle-class, and tariff's are just another tax on hard-working American consumers. We’ve had enough of the tired, antiquated and ineffective policies that have failed all of us for generations. It’s time for smart and innovative legislation to focus on an economy that is truly designed for growth and prosperity.

Families like mine and yours are struggling to afford the basics. The majority of us don’t have money left over to put towards savings, our children’s education, or retirement. You work hard and you deserve the dignity that comes with financial security. For decades we’ve heard promises from career politicians vowing to do something about it, but nothing seems to change. It’s going to take real work to fix things. I was trained to fix problems, not run away from them.

It’s time we stop talking about helping working families, and we start doing it. We pride ourselves on quality public schools, a talented workforce, and innovative businesses. But for many families, the cost of living outpaces their wages and they’re forced to leave our community. I will fight for our families to bring tax relief, lowered health care and energy costs, affordable childcare, and I will stand-up to companies that engage in price gouging.
