“When real Americans sit down at the dinner table, they don't hold a sign up with red or blue. They discuss the real issues. When polled, most of us agree on most things. Kids should be able to have free lunch and breakfast. Healthcare is a human right. Corporations shouldn't rule our government. Separation of church and state. Common sense gun laws that end the number one cause of death of our children. America has fallen into extremism. Families torn apart by simple minded propaganda and social media posing as news.
But there are blue spots in the sea of chaos and Minnesota has become a little famous for one guy in particular. Gus became an icon for his pride in his Dad so let me be iconic too and introduce you to my Mom and your nominee for state Senate, Denise Slipy!
She's here to sit down with you at your dinner table and talk about the real issues facing this country, not Identity politics. We're tired of the fake promises just as much as we're tired of fake outrage. Bring back community and communication with your neighbors and elect my mom to represent the diversity in real America!
Our family is just like any other family. Full of different colors, sexual orientations, gender expressions, education levels, religions, and careers. It takes a village to leave a better world for our children and that is what America is!
There are those among us that worship the Establishment and would sell our home to the highest bidder. They distort and disturb our views and turn us against each other. It's our duty as citizens to stand up when enough is enough!
Let Denise Slipy be your voice, Minnesota!
I love you Mom. I’m proud to be your daughter!”

“Where to start... I guess I'll start with telling you my name is Shelly and I am Denise's sister. I got to meet some of you last week. I want to thank all of you for the long hours and hard work that you are putting in to help Denise get elected.
I had the privilege of growing up with Denise. From the start she didn't have an easy road, but she was blessed with grandparents who took her in and raised her as best they could with all the love in the world. As a child she was a handful. So much energy and life that she kept them on their toes every minute of the day - but oh how they loved her. She grew into a vibrant and strong-willed young woman who knew what she wanted and went after it. From time to time this could get her into trouble. I've even had to pin her down on the floor and sit on her a few times. (LOL)
She never was the kind to go with the status quo. She wanted answers for everything. "Because I said so" was not gonna cut it - she questioned everything. If you could not give her a satisfactory answer, she was going to search until she found one. She was the champion for anyone that she saw being picked on - she simply would not stand for it. This is a trait that she still possesses today. She is the most amazing role model for her daughter, granddaughters and for my girls who lovingly call her Aunt Neenee. (My boys think the world of her too). She is their Auntie, friend and confidant. I couldn't ask for a better sister.
Denise Slipy is the strongest woman I have ever known. That's saying a lot because I've known some pretty amazing women.
I’ve seen the attack ads coming from her opponent, and I've seen some comments that say this race is insurmountable for her. Our Neenee doesn't know the definition of that word!
To this I say go ahead and tell her she can't do it.... But you better step out of her way because she's going to run you over giving it her all to prove you wrong.
Denise, I see you doing big things. You make me so proud. I would vote for you in a flat second if I could. We will be cheering you on from home. We love you.
GO GET'EM NEENEE!!!!”
